Lunch Box Love ~By: Vintage Nina~

Every day I write a little note to my daughter Isabella. I draw a little something on a napkin and give her a little note of LOVE.

 

My mom used to write me a note sometimes before school and she would always draw an eye for "I" when she wrote "I love you", so I had to do the same for my baby girl.

"Know Your Truth" ~By: Vintage Nina~

Hello.......Beautiful, it has been a while since I last posted on my sweet blog space, so I am bringing the Love back!

The last year for me was full of growing.  When you are undergoing treatment to save your life.........you have plenty of time to truly look at yourself, others and grow. I feel through this time I was able to express myself in my art in so many ways. I feel the universe pushing me and giving me signs each and every day to help me along my path. This painting was during a time when the treatment I was on was just simply making me more sick every day, and I was having a hard time doing anything, but she came out.....

I have always loved Frida Kahlo and as I sat in my own pain I had so much more respect for her. Also I felt the Virgin Mary with me, after the loss of my daughter in 2002 the Virgin Mary has been  very important in my life! I had received a message during this time from Mother Mary and I had put it in my Journal and from that came this painting...... 

 

 

 The Flowers I made from a Vintage Children's book with layers of ink, paint and glue. I love the colors and the texture.....you know me I can not do art with out dimension and texture!!! Look at her necklace ~ it is made from my Mothers Broach from the 80's......Love it!!!

 

My message on the painting from Mother Mary:

Know your Truth......Live your Truth........When you do this Life is Easy......You will Enjoy Every Day....Every Moment.........Every Second..........Live in Light and Love!!!

When I started this painting I was thinking of a painting I had in my bathroom when I was a little girl. I LOVED that painting, and this Angel inspired me. I LOVE her innocence and the sweet angelic look in her eyes! 


 I always seem to try to work in some kind of Bling, and Metal in my art. I LOVE this Vintage Broach.

I wish I could truly capture her eyes and lips. She looks so Fierce with her eyes.
This is the finish of my "Box Canvas".

I LOVE the texture in all my paintings. The more texture the better as far as I am concerned!!!

A Feather, Heart Rock and Painting by: ~Vintage Nina~

I was outside with my doggies this morning and look what I found! A heart shaped rock and a feather. I am staying strong during my health challenge, but I always LOVE a sign from above that I am on track and I WILL BE JUST FINE!!! That was the message I needed today. Then I came in and read my daily message from my "The Secret" teachings......I thought "Thank You Universe"!!!

This is a painting I just finished. I LOVE her eyes, I get LOST inside them. My hubby says she looks like an actress, but he can't think of her name. I hate it whan I do that...LOL!!!

Canvases that cost NOTHING by ~Vintage Nina~

Can you guess what this canvas is??? It cost me nothing and I am helping the Universe by recycling......I LOVE recycling!!!

 This is with gesso on the "MYSTERY CANVAS" and

a face I sketched out.

 I LOVE a thick side on a canvas, and this one has it!!! So did you guess what the canvas is made of???

IT is boxes, any kind of box. I just did the front of the "Sweet N Low" box with brown bag paper so you could see the effect below. 

I am LOVING this new idea of mine, and when I am all done I will show you what I am doing with all of my paintings! Save a box, and give it a try.....it is SO MUCH FUN!!!
