"She Held Him Close to Her Heart!" By ~Vintage Nina~

This is my first piece of art that I have created in my new home. It feels soooo good to create art in my new art studio. My son Alan even likes this piece of art........that is not usually the case with him, lol. She really touches my heart for many reasons! I used a stretch canvas, with texture paste, copper, gold and silver paint. The right corner cap I made from clay. Above her head I used diamonds wire and black beads. I hope you all enjoy. ~BLESSINGS FROM MY BEAUTIFUL FRIEND BONNIE!!!

Having one of those days, when my hubby calls me to come outside, and sitting next to him is a package. "What is this I say"? He said "I don't know open it". When I open the package.....SO MANY BEAUTIFUL things were inside! My dear friend Bonnie at http://www.bonjade.blogspot.com/ sent me this AMAZING photo she took with the gorgeous silver frame.

Then I opened this SWEET box with a bracelet inside.

I also got a photo album with one of her MAGNIFICENCE note cards. The special note she wrote me inside was so touching!

This was the bracelet, it has love inscribed on the heart. I LOVE it!!!

This is an embroider vintage cloth she sent.....the colors are vibrant.

This is the paper it was wrapped in......... is it not BEAUTIFUL!!!!

One more look at the paper......I think it is a work of art in itself! It would be a great background for some art! I feel SO BLESSED to have a friend like Bonnie! She has touched my heart in so many ways, and I CHERISH our friendship! THANK YOU BONNIE....I LOVE YOU!!!

HELLO OLD FRIEND!!!

I am FINALLY back to my blog!!! It has been soooo long!!! We moved got our new home in Marietta, GA and sold our house in Lakeland, GA. Whew......it has been a little crazy! My hubby retired from the Air force, and he now works for Lockheed Martin. I am still unpacking, and enjoying being close to my family. Since my art supplies are all still in boxes......I thought I would share some photos I took of Lakeland, GA before I moved.

This is a leaf that Isabella found. We are always looking for heart rocks, but on this day she found a heart leaf. She was so proud of it.........it even survived the move to here.

This is a statue of a girl reading. She is at this beautiful park in Lakeland, behind her is a BEAUTIFUL rose bush!

This is the lake (Banks Lake) that was down the street from my house. It was so beautiful, and unique. It had Cypress trees growing all throughout the lake, and the moss hanging off the trees was my favorite!

This was one of Isabella's favorite horses. I am going to miss Lakeland and all the history and all the fun memories my family had there. I am SO EXCITED about my new home. It is BREATHTAKING!!! I feel SO BLESSED and THANKFUL!!!! I hope you enjoyed my memories of Lakeland. I want to thank each and everyone of you for all the kind words you left me. I MISS you all tons!!! I am going to have to catch up and visit all of you soon!!!

Hello BEAUTIFUL blogger girls, I am BACK!!!

Wow......it is so hard to believe how long it has been since I have done a post! I got the flu, and I NEVER thought it would go away, then my niece and her son came and stayed with us for a few days, then the kids had there last day of school and are home for the summer. I have been enjoying the BEAUTIFUL sun with the kiddies! My hubby is going to retire from the Airforce after 22 years and we are putting the house on the market and moving. Oh, and did I mention I got up at 4:30 this morning to go running with my hubby............ so I guess you can see I have been a busy girl, but I have MISSED my blogger girls. I am glad to be back!!!

What I Worked On Last Week

This is an Altered Book I worked on for my Wonderful Mom! I titled it "A Mothers Love". I Covered the book with Vintage fabric, and put a Vintage Broach with pink Crystals on the front.

This is my beautiful mom when she was a teenager. I sewed Vintage fabric, and ribbon on this page. I tinted the black and white photo, and gave my mom butterfly wings.

On this page I used several photos of my mom when she was young. I added a piece of mica, metal frame and cross. The photo on the right is her dad and her when she was a baby.

This is my mom with her sisters, and the photo on the left is my mom when she was Homecoming Queen in High School. On the right page is her, her sister and her mom. I added copper wire and a Vintage charm. On the right I also used molding paste to create a stone look on the page.

The photo on the left is my mom, and I hung the photo on a silver fork that was her parents. I twisted the ends of the fork.

On the left page is my Granny Doodle. On the right page are several photos of my mom in her early adult years. The bottom photo on the right I added a golden crown, and she was pregnant with me.

I painted these girls. I also added inspirational words and photos of my mom, sisters, and myself when we were young.

On his page I used Molding Paste again, labels from an old cigar box, one flower I made from Vintage sheet music and a Mother of Pearle button that was my Grandmothers.

This page was made from a Vintage Dollie, Vintage fabric, Vintage buttons, and a Vintage coin purse.

This page was made with Vintage Fabric, and a Vintage Broach that was my Grandmothers.

These two pages I painted and added photos of my Grandparents, mom, sisters and myself.

These two pages I also painted and wrote my mom a note, and used the "Cherish" girl that I made with Beeswax.

This is the last page I did with a baby photo of my mom. I gave her butterfly wings and added a Vintage Daisy broach........Daisy's are her favorite flowers. I LOVE my mom so much, and it felt so good to do something for such an AMAZING woman, and mother.

This is a Stained Glass heart I made for my Mother in Law. I added a Vintage crystal at the bottom.

Grandma Lutz Pillow for Mothers Day!

I finally finished making a pillow for my Grandma Lutz. She is such a SWEET woman, and I am so excited to send her this pillow.

I stitched on a vintage material with ribbon. Then I sewed roses on the front of the pillow. It is a big fluffy pillow. My Italian hubby calls her Grandma Lutz, because his Poppa called her that......it is an Italian thing, and I LOVE it! I can't wait to be a Grandma Lutz one day!

Look what sweet Isabella got for breakfast this weekend. She loves butterflies like her mommy.

Matthew is so WONDERFUL! He made us all breakfast, and made Isabella a special butterfly pancake. For a 15 year old boy............he is so thoughtful and loving! He will be a GREAT dad and hubby one day!!!

Look at this Magnolia that was growing in our Magnolia tree. Is is not BEAUTIFUL??? I have never seen a bloom this big and the smell is so DIVINE!!! I hope you enjoy!
